Zeta Squadron was among the trio of stormtrooper squadrons comprising Desert Sands.
Their mission involved tracking down the droids, specifically R2-D2 and C-3PO, on Tatooine to retrieve the Death Star plans. Davin Felth served as a member of the squadron, which was under the leadership of Captain Mod Terrik.
The Jawa sandcrawler that had acquired the two droids was obliterated by Zeta Squadron, and they also burned down the Lars homestead. Subsequently, the Squadron was unsuccessful in preventing the Millennium Falcon's departure from Docking Bay 94. In the midst of that engagement, Felth fatally shot Terrik from the rear.
