Zuth

Zuth was a Jedi Knight of the Human species (a male individual) who dedicated himself to the service of both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic in their twilight years.

Biography

Being a Force-sensitive individual, Zuth underwent training within the Jedi Order at the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant, learning the ways of the Force. After successfully completing years of instruction, constructing a lightsaber with a yellow blade, and succeeding in the Trials of Knighthood, the Jedi High Council elevated Zuth to the rank of Jedi Knight. As a Knight, he served the Order with distinction, eventually choosing Initiate Tu'ala to be his Padawan, and began instructing her in the Jedi arts as they journeyed throughout the galaxy together.

While serving as Tu'ala's instructor, Zuth endeavored to impart upon her the idea that the demise of certain individuals could be a necessity to ensure the fulfillment of others' destinies. Tu'ala struggled to grasp this concept, but Zuth remained patient. His tenure as her mentor was cut short when he perished in combat, giving his life to safeguard his Padawan during an assassination attempt targeting an unnamed senator, sacrificing himself so that she would survive. His remains were brought back to the Temple where they were cremated according to Jedi tradition.

Legacy

Shortly after his passing, the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Republic engaged in warfare. In the initial engagement, the now-masterless Tu'ala ultimately embraced the teachings of her late master, sacrificing herself in the Petranaki arena so that fellow Padawan Anakin Skywalker could live. While her act went unnoticed amidst the chaos of battle, her sacrifice would play a role in shaping the course of galactic events, including the fulfillment of the Prophecy of the Chosen One.
