Although Lyn's official reason was to eliminate the "Heroes of Yavin," her actual goal was to stage a coup against the Emperor Palpatine. Following Mara Jade's exposure of Lyn's plot to Palpatine, they, along with fellow student Thok, a Gamorrean, went into hiding with their mentor. Later, during the Zaarin insurrection, they resurfaced. Working alongside Thok and Lyn, they utilized their combined Force abilities to subdue the powerful Sith Lord, aiding Zaarin's forces in capturing the Emperor.
The fighting game Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi marked the initial appearance of 17786 as a hidden character. However, they remained nameless and absent from other Star Wars media until Barely Tolerable: Alien Henchmen of the Empire blog's second installment was published. Due to their status as a secret character, their allegiance to Lyn and their canonicity were initially unclear. The aforementioned blog later clarified that they were one of Lyn's students. They possessed at least two appearances: the typical Stormtrooper attire and the Scout trooper uniform.
