The Rod of Seasons is stolen from Hynestia Prime.
Zallah Macri and Kevmo Zink encounter the Path of the Open Hand cult while investigating the theft of the rod. A Path member named Marda Ro falls for Zink, but both he and Macri are killed by the Path's newly-hatched Leveler, a Nameless creature that feeds on Force-sensitives.
In the aftermath of the death of her lover, Marda Ro spurs the Path into expanding its reach by moving to the holy moon Jedha.
Outer Rim Expedition Two-Five-Two is largely wiped out on the planet Gloam after a betrayal, with only Jedi Master Rok Buran surviving to send out a distress signal. Master Silandra Sho and her Pathfinder team respond, discovering the true history of Gloam and rescuing Buran, as well as stranded father-and-son prospectors Spence and Dass Leffbruk.
The Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order hold a summit between the warring planets Eiram and E'ronoh that is resolved with the heirs of both planets, Princess Xiri A'lbaran of E'ronoh and Prince Phan-tu Zenn of Eiram, agreeing to marry in the hopes of uniting the planets and ending the war.
The Path of the Open Hand and terrorist group the Children of E'ronoh attempt to assassinate Princess A'lbaran and Prince Zenn in the lead up to and during their wedding.
Jedi Masters Porter Engle and Barash Silvain perform a mission to the planet Gansevor to help warring factions there. They successfully stop the Attack on Firevale and Engle defeats Abediah Viess and her mercenary army. However, Silvain, believing she made a grave mistake during the mission decides to leave from active participation in the Jedi Order and starts the Barash Vow.
Maz Kanata and her pirate crew engage in a turf war with the Dank Graks.
A summit is held in the holy city of Jedha to officially end the Eiram and E'ronoh war, but a series of bombings and riots spurred by the Path of the Open Hand leads to the war reigniting on the moon in the form of the Battle of Jedha.
After returning to Dalna, the Path of the Open Hand conducts a mission to the mysterious Planet X to retrieve more Nameless.
The Hyperspace Chase is held, which Sky Graf, Dass Leffbruk, and Master Sho's Padawan Rooper Nitani utilize to try and find Planet X, though they ultimately abandon the mission.
After receiving an ultimatum from her son Axel Greylark and the Path's Mother, Elecia Zeveron who wish to exploit her power, Kyong Greylark steps down as Supreme Chancellor
Marda Ro reorganizes the militant members of the Path present on Dalna into the Path of the Closed Fist.
The Path of the Open Hand attacks several groups of Jedi that arrived on Dalna to investigate them, erupting into a battle that becomes known as the Night of Sorrow in which many Jedi are killed by the Path's Nameless
In the aftermath of the Night of Sorrow, the Path of the Open Hand is disbanded and Elecia Zeveron is killed by Marda Ro.
Marda Ro takes the Path's flagship the Gaze Electric and the Leveler, leaving Dalna and founding what will become the Nihil.
Grand Master Yoda and Master Creighton Sun decide to keep the Nameless secret and out of the Jedi Archives, believing it will help protect the Jedi.
After being driven to madness by encountering the Nameless three times during the Night of Sorrow, Jedi Knight Azlin Rell writes a journal about the creatures before abandoning the Jedi Order, falling to the dark side of the Force, and dedicating his life to studying the Nameless.
