Ashe Javi started making music early in their life. They would hear the factory sounds and start making music out of it in their head. Ashe started performing and caught the attention of an important individual who worked with famous musician Max Rebo. Ashe originally thought they were going to start performing on Chandrila but was caught off guard when the important individual stated they were going to perform on Coruscant. Initially, they enjoyed playing on Coruscant but eventually found the process tiresome as people simply wanted to see the next big thing over anything else.
Despite the intention to advertise Javi on billboards around the planet and across the Core, they decided to leave their penthouse, record label, and fame behind and proceeded to take a transport to Kuat to further their musical ambitions.
Ashe soon found that the Kuat shipyards were home to solid samples to use in their music, later describing the planet's soundscapes as "filthy." It was also in these shipyards that they found DD-EC jamming on some recordings at a monitoring station. After they had become a team, they decided that they needed a change from the sounds of the cities, factories, and nightclubs that they were used to so they travelled around to lots of worlds intending to find more organic sounds but despite the number of worlds they had visited, they never stayed anywhere long.
Sometime during their travels they visited Koboh and found something different about the air and the people that caused Ashe to stay on the planet along with DD-EC in 9 BBY. Soon, they were recruited by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis to play music at Pyloon's Saloon, a cantina run by the Latero Greez Dritus. Javi appreciated how much of a dive Pyloon's was and commented with excitement on the establishment's wonky dynamics, weirder customers, and barely functioning refreshers.
They spent their time on the planet sampling its ambient sounds for their music. At one point, Javi sampled the sound of vulture droids from the mountains, an excursion they said nearly led them to die ten times. The captured sounds were later layered over lofi Trandoshan funk, a sound that Javi said you had to hear to believe.
After spending time on the planet, they believed that Koboh's faint heartbeat was special and that was what she had been looking for. When an Imperial-class Star Destroyer arrived over the planet, Javi intended to sample its sounds and turn the aggression into creativity.
