Baesoon served the Rebel Alliance and was stationed at Echo Base on the planet of Hoth, where his duties included caring for tauntauns. The lack of available personnel meant Baesoon's shifts prevented him from getting adequate sleep or visiting the mess hall. Consequently, Baesoon and others depended on food deliveries from other members of the base. On one day in 3 ABY, Chase Wilsorr delivered sustenance and caf to Baesoon, as well as Murell and Jordan Smythe, who were also handlers at the tauntaun pens. Baesoon was thankful for his portion of the delivery. After Wilsorr engaged Smythe, Baesoon reprimanded the other handler and instructed him to prepare Commander Luke Skywalker and his tauntaun for a patrol mission.
C.B. Lee penned the short story "A Good Kiss," in which Baesoon appears; this story was included in the 2020 anthology From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.
