The Bokrea was a Chiss patrol cruiser of the Chiss Ascendancy navy that was present at Senior Captain Thrawn's last stand, having been invited to the battle by Admiral Ar'alani. During the battle, the Bokrea stayed side by side with the Chiss warship Parala, facing a Grysk Prism-class BattleChief.
Following Senior Captain Thrawn's last stand, Senior Captain Ziinda suggested to Supreme General Ba'kif that Mid Captain Apros be promoted to Senior Captain, and given command of a patrol cruiser, mentioning the Bokrea as a possible fit.
After Mid Captain Samakro brought the Chiss heavy cruiser Springhawk over the planet Sunrise to prepare for the upcoming battle against the warlike Grysk's and the Kilji Illumine, Admiral Ar'alani of the Nightdragon man-of-war class warship Vigilant informed him that she was able to contact many of her old subordinates to join them in the looming battle, with the Chiss patrol cruiser Bokrea being one of them. During the battle, the Bokrea and the patrol cruiser Parala took on a Grysk Prism-class BattleChief, until Senior Captain Thrawn ordered them both to break off so that Senior Captain Ziinda of the warship Grayshrike could make an attack run on the BattleChief, dropping breacher's and plasma sphere's into its hull. Following the maneuver, the Bokrea and the Parala resumed their attack on the Grysk warship. Following the Chiss victory at Senior Captain Thrawn's last stand, Senior Captain Ziinda spoke to Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet Supreme General Ba'kif about promoting Mid Captain Apros to Senior Captain, as well as command of his own ship, mentioning the Bokrea as a possible fit for him.
The Bokrea appeared in Timothy Zahn's 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final installment of the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.
