The Cademiman Guard was a private army raised by Governor Chornarov on the planet Cademimu V after declaring the world independent from the Galactic Republic. It was made up of former members of the Mantellian Separatist Movement, who were forced to leave Ord Mantell being a losing side of the civil war named the Separatist War. The guards were supported by other foreign mercenaries and underworld thugs. Known for their brutality and widespread corruption they were treated as occupation forces by Cademimu citizens. After imposing martial law on Cademimu V by Chornarov, civilian riots occurred in the streets.
