The charr ant was a type of ant found on the Mid Rim planet Kashyyyk that shared a symbiotic relationship with the shi-shok tree. In 231 BBY, the Jedi Order and Hutt Clan undertook an assault against the sentient carnivorous plants known as the Drengir on their homeworld—the Wild Space world Mulita. During the assault, the Kotabi bond-twins Jedi Knights Ceret and Terec compared the symbiotic relationship of the charr ant and shi-shok tree to that of the Drengir and a local type of arthropod they had weaponized to act as guards.
