Colin Trevorrow

Colin Trevorrow is an American filmmaker best known for directing the 2015 film Jurassic World and the 2012 film Safety Not Guaranteed.

He was originally set to direct Star Wars: Episode IX. However, on September 5, 2017, it was announced that he had left the project. The final film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, credits Trevorrow as co-writing the story with Derek Connolly, J.J. Abrams (who also directed) and Chris Terrio. He told Empire magazine that he would donate his residuals from the film to the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice in Berkshire. (A representative from the organization described it as "the equivalent of paying for a nurse for a year.") Trevorrow's other contribution to the sequel trilogy was suggesting Rian Johnson to include a shot of Poe Dameron and Rey meeting for the first time in Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.
