"Convict 2317" was the designation of an alien prisoner of the Galactic Empire held aboard the wreckage-prison Accresker Jail during the Galactic Civil War. Serving as part of the prison's Accresker Penal Legion, the inmate and their squad was deployed aboard a Rebel Alliance EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. During the battle onboard, Convict 2317 lagged behind their squad due to an issue with their foot. Since they passed ten meters from their hubdroid, their implanted proximity bomb detonated, exploding the inmate.
During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the gray-skinned, green-eyeed alien was held by the Empire aboard the wreckage-prison Accresker Jail. Designated "Convict 2317," they served in the prison's convict army, the Accresker Penal Legion, as part of a squad and had a proximity bomb implanted in their throat so that they could not stray ten meters away from the squad's hubdroid. Around 3 ABY, 2317 and their squad were deployed aboard a rebel EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate that had been crippled during a fleet engagement, Accresker's convict legion being tasked with clearing out the inside.
After boarding the rebel frigate, Convict 2317's squad began gunning down the defending rebel troopers. However, 2317 had an issue with their foot which led them to lag behind from the squad, going outside of ten meters from the hubdroid. As the droid detected the issue and warned the inmate, they explained that it was because of their foot and promised to catch up. The hubdroid, though, insisted that they only advanced, and Convict 2317's proximity bomb began flashing. The inmate cried out as they detonated into a fireball, the rest of their squad advancing beyond the explosion.
Convict 2317 appeared in the twentieth issue of the 2016 Star Wars: Doctor Aphra comic series, written by Si Spurrier, illustrated by Kev Walker, and published by Marvel Comics on May 23, 2018.
