Daniel Logan wasn't the first actor approached for the role of young Boba Fett, originally 11 year old New Zealand boy, Tupoutahi Winitana—Bodie Taylor's co-performer in the Māori stage production Ahorangi 2000—was given the role. Due to the significance of his role in Ahorangi 2000 and scheduling conflicts between the stage performance and filming, Tupoutahi was forced to turn the role down.
For his role in Attack of the Clones, George Lucas allowed Logan to give his own interpretation of the character, and one of the ways he prepared was by reading Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary. He was nominated for the 2003 Young Actor Award for "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor." Logan reprised his role as Boba Fett in several episodes of The Clone Wars. He was rumored to play a part in the unproduced Star Wars live-action TV series.
Logan appeared in the Star Wars documentaries Bucket Head, From Puppets to Pixels and Heart of an Empire. He had a blog at StarWars.com, and has appeared at multiple Star Wars conventions and reported from Star Wars events.
