A dropsuit was a type of combat-rated enviro-suit that was used for penetrating the defenses of locations in the vacuum of space. Both a combat-ready suit of airtight armor and a self-contained weapons system, it was armed with mini-missiles and laser cannons.
The Jedi Knight Jaina Solo used a dropsuit to penetrate the Imperial Remnant defenses of Nickel One, in the Roche asteroids, in order to find and kill her brother, the Sith Lord Darth Caedus. With the suit's weaponry, she was able to shoot down two TIE Starhunters while en route to the asteroid.
