Drya Thornne

Drya Thornne was a humanoid lieutenant of the Bedlam Raiders who was skilled enough to be gifted an orange-bladed lightsaber with retractable crossguards by the Raiders' leader, Rayvis.

In 9 BBY. Thornne was with Rayvis during his search for Dagan Gera, who they found after his initial defeat against Jedi Knight Cal Kestis. Thornne was among those sent to the on the Shattered Moon of Koboh to search for an Abyss compass. While on the station, the lieutenant encountered Cal Kestis in the upper levels of the foundry and attacked him.

Kestis ultimately won the duel and slew Thornne, taking the custom emitter from Thornne's lightsaber and using it to modify his own.

Drya Thornne wore a blue outfit with a brown tunic and gray armor over it, along with a helmet that covered their entire head. They also wore a gray helmet and used a wrist blaster, grenades, and a portable cloaking device in combat. Their primary weapon, however, was an orange crossguard lightsaber gifted to them by Rayvis from his personal collection.

Drya Thornne was created for the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, serving as a boss that the player must defeat to progress the story. Prior to the game's release, Thornne was revealed in the teaser trailer for the game that was shown at the 2022 Video Game Awards on December 8, 2022. The trailer used the same lightsaber model as Cal's, but was later changed.

Drya Thornne's design bears a resemblance to that of Deak Starkiller, an alien character present in one of Ralph McQuarrie's concept arts for George Lucas' first rough draft of what would become the 1977 film . Ultimately, Deak was one early version for Luke Skywalker, the human protagonist of the Star Wars original trilogy.
