Field Commander was a position held by commanding officers on the ground during battle. The Stormtrooper Commander Atty held the position during the Galactic Empire's pacification of Ontotho. For the Trade Federation's Invasion of Naboo, OOM command battle droid OOM-9 served as the Trade Federation Droid Army's Field Commander during the Great Grass Plains battle on Naboo. The Kilji species' battle fleet, the Illumine Kilhorde, had several field commanders.
