A flash guard visor, also known as a flashguard filter, protected a user from stun damage from visual sources, such as flash canisters or flash grenades. The visor was capable of activating within one-thirtieth of a second after detecting a burst of light to protect the wearer. Ubese raider armor was equipped with a flash guard visor in the helmet.
