Ubese raider armor

The Ubese armor, also referenced as Ubese raider armor, represented a specific style of armor typically utilized by Ubese trackers, who are members of the Ubese species.

Description

While Ubese armors provided substantial defense against energy weapons such as blasters, they were less effective against kinetic-based attacks. A full set of this armor comprised several components: a helmet, a shirt, a jacket equipped with impact protection for the neck and chest areas, a chest-mounted comlink, an Ubese clan belt-clasp, bracers for both the left and right arms, spiked gloves, a bandolier incorporating a projectile detonator and ammo pouches, pants, and boots. This armor was manufactured in a variety of colors and was highly adaptable to modifications and upgrades.

The helmet was equipped with several advanced features, including a flash guard visor, a targeting laser, a vision-plus scanner, an audio pickup, a broadband antenna, and a speech scrambler. Furthermore, the helmet contained an enviro filter engineered to purify toxic gases and maintain a Type II atmosphere suitable for Ubese traveling throughout the galaxy. For individuals not of the Ubese species, the helmet could be modified to accommodate a Type I enviro-filter, although this alteration decreased the reliability of the helmet's seal.

History

During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Ubese armor gained considerable popularity among spacers. Moreover, numerous bounty hunters associated with the Rebel Alliance frequently wore this type of armor. Sith Shadow warriors also utilized this armor.

An example of someone who wore Ubese armor was the bounty hunter known as Boushh. Leia Organa also utilized that specific suit in 4 ABY during an attempt to rescue Han Solo from Jabba's Palace.
