Zo'Tannath

Zo'Tannath was a female Human bounty hunter who operated by selling her services to the highest paying client.

Biography

The origins of Zo'Tannath were largely shrouded in mystery, and very few ever saw her unmasked. She wore pieces of Ubese armor that she had taken as trophies from a deceased Ubese warrior. Although she was skilled with both a blaster carbine and grenades, Zo'Tannath's weapon of choice was the Force pike, which she utilized to easily overpower most adversaries.

Zo'Tannath typically acquired her assignments from the Boztrok starport, a place she frequented. She executed her bounties without mercy, particularly enjoying "dead-or-alive" targets. This ruthlessness led to many job offers from unscrupulous individuals operating on the fringes of society. She often utilized their starships to track her targets and occasionally employed Klatooinian mercenaries as assistants. She would often use these mercenaries to lure her prey into carefully designed traps. Zo'Tannath would refuse any attempts at negotiation from her targets, remaining steadfastly loyal to the person who hired her, even when offered substantial bribes.

Zo'Tannath attacks Platt Okeefe

In one instance, Zo'Tannath was contracted by the Nimbanel Pok Nar-Ten to apprehend the smuggler Platt Okeefe, who had failed to make payments on a ship. Zo'Tannath eventually located Okeefe on the planet Wroona and swiftly subdued her. Zo'Tannath then took her into custody and presented Okeefe's Gruvian Tovash to the Nimbanel as a gift. Okeefe was subsequently sold into slavery.

Behind the scenes

The biography of Zo'Tannath in Platt's Smugglers Guide avoids specifying her species, instead emphasizing her enigmatic nature. It states that her Ubese armor was acquired from a victim. However, the book also presents Platt Okeefe's perspective, identifying Zo'Tannath as human. This identification is complicated by the Ultimate Alien Anthology, which indicates that the name Zo'Tannath is common among Ubese. This article accepts Okeefe's identification, even though some ambiguity exists on the topic.
