This clandestine secret hangar served as the storage facility for pirate Captain Hondo Ohnaka's reserve spacecraft, intended for use when necessary. The hangar's location remained exclusively known to him.
In the year 20 BBY, General Grievous, a cyborg, arrived on Florrum under orders from Count Dooku. His mission was to exact revenge on Ohnaka for his capture and subsequent ransom demand. Imprisoned, Ohnaka was rescued by a group comprising Jedi Initiates, Ahsoka Tano, Professor Huyang, R2-D2, Gwarm, and a fellow pirate. Their only path to escape Grievous and the forces of the Separatist Droid Army involved utilizing one of Ohnaka's concealed vessels. Together, Ohnaka, the Jedi, and his crew journeyed to the hangar and fled the planet aboard the Slave I.
During his tenure as the leader of the Ohnaka Gang, Ohnaka kept not only the Slave I in this hangar, but also other vehicles such as the Fortune and Glory, a HCT-2001 Dragonboat-class Freighter, another Luxury 3000 Yacht, a YV-666, four WLO-5 tanks and six HH-87 Starhoppers, and potentially additional craft.
