In 19 BBY, the final year of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance, the Republic's elite clone commando squad Clone Force 99 ended an insurrection on Yalbec Prime. Under the command of Clone Sergeant Hunter, the clone commandos Tech, Crosshair and Wrecker killed the Yalbec queen after Wrecker removed its stinger. As a result, several Yalbec males were also killed in their attempts to mate with the clone troopers, who utilized specialized blades to eliminate them.
However, amid Clone Force 99's mission on Yalbec Prime, they received a transmission from Clone Marshal Commander Cody, who ordered them to the planet Anaxes to assist in the Republic's engagements with the Separatist Alliance. Responding to Cody's instructions, the clone commandos traveled to Anaxes, where they expressed their delays due to their complications with the insurrection.
