The Ka'rta, or Mandalorian Iron Heart, was a symbol omnipresent among Mandalorians. It was a hexagonal shape integrated in the clothing, design, and architecture. It was notably featured on the chestplate of the Mandalorian armor. Prime Minister Almec had it shaved into his hair.
Ka'rta was first identified in the current Star Wars canon in the thirty-second issue of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon. According to the Mando'a dictionary, the proper spelling is kar'ta, which means "heart."
