The Kadas'sa'Nikto, or Green Nikto, were one of the subspecies of the Nikto species from the planet Kintan; another was the Kajain'sa'Nikto. They had scaly green or gray skin, black eyes, and symmetrical horns.
The Kadas'sa'Nikto, also known as the Green Nikto, were a subspecies of the sentient humanoid Nikto species from the planet Kintan. Like their cousins the Kajain'sa'Nikto, they had scaly green or gray skin, black eyes, and symmetrical horns. Kadas'sa'Nikto were able to sustain and survive in harsh desert climates. Members of the species could be Force-sensitive. Falling rain was refreshing for the scales of a Kadas'sa'Nikto.
Several Kadas'sa'Nikto became members of the Jedi Order and served as guardians of the Galactic Republic. Aida Forte was a Jedi Knight in the High Republic Era. Forte's friend and fellow Jedi, Creighton Sun, thought the eyes of the Kadas'sa'Nikto species were beautiful, with Sun also making note of a bright optimism that always seemed to fill Forte's eyes. During the Battle of Dalna, he watched as her eyes filled with rain and tears shortly before her death. During the later stages of the Clone Wars, Jedi Master J'oopi Shé was part of the Order's Technical division and was stationed in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Nuhj was a Kadas'sa'Nikto Jedi who initially survived Order 66 by hiding on Anoat and later Burnin Konn, but he was ultimately killed by an Inquisitor.
Due to their biological characteristics, Kadas'sa'Nikto were ideal enforcers for the Hutt Clan. The crime lord Jabba the Hutt employed Kadas'sa'Nikto individuals in his criminal empire on Tatooine. These included Wooof, who was in charge of Jabba's fleet of skiffs and the sail barge Khetanna; Klaatu, who helped repair the skiffs and served as a bodyguard; and Giran, who worked in Jabba's Palace.
As the Galactic Empire's control in their sector became unbearable, some green Niktos joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic, whether to seek liberty and justice for the galaxy or due to more selfish motivations. After the fall of the Empire, many green Niktos fought for control of what was left behind, although some remained loyal to Leia Organa as she sent out a call to arms against the First Order.
During the New Republic era, one Kadas'sa'Nikto named Neeku Vozo worked as a mechanic at the former New Republic starfighter pilot Jarek Yeager's repair shop on the Colossus, a supertanker fuel depot on the Outer Rim ocean world of Castilon.
Kadas'sa'Nikto first appeared in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. In the Star Wars canon continuity, they were first identified in the 2015 reference book Ultimate Star Wars.
