The Expansion Region world of Kerkoidia was host to its own planetary defense forcess, known as the Kerkoidian Defense Forces. They staffed several officers within their ranks, some of whom were members of the native Kerkoiden species.
The Kerkoidian Defense Forces were founded at some point in the Republic Era, established some years before the Clone Wars in 22 BBY. When the Confederacy of Independent Systems were formed during the Separatist Crisis, the population of Kerkoidia helped with funding the expansion of Geonosian droid foundries on the planet Geonosis, but in exchange for a percentage of the profits.
The Kerkoidian Defense Forces were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: On the Front Lines, but was later identified in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars roleplaying products. It was originally created for the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Official Episode Guide: Season 1.
