Mef was a Gupin male native to the Forest Moon of Endor. Mef rose to power and became the Gupin king of the stronghold by 3 ABY, taking over after the previous ruler. The wingless Gupin named Mring-Mring's departure from their native lands led to his cousin, Punt, declaring himself king, which coincided with Mef's death.
The animated television show Ewoks featured Mef in its eighth episode, "The Land of the Gupins." Bob Carrau penned the episode, which first aired on October 26, 1985.
