A network leader was a member of a cell network run by Alliance Intelligence, and later the New Republic.
Reporting directly to the case officer, the network leader was the highest-ranking native Intelligence operative on the planet. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cell, the network leader was at a degree of risk of detection, but the position on planet allowed the network leader to respond to acquired information faster than the case officer could. Network leaders communicated with the area coordinators, but could only communicate with the case officer via blind communication methods to protect the location of Sector Headquarters.
During the early years of the New Republic, Captain Naren Bluuis served as network leader in the Corva sector.
