The II-0810 Satellite Station, also simply referred to as Nova Garon, was a clandestine listening station built and hidden within a dense cluster of frozen asteroids in the Nova Garon system used by the Imperial Security Bureau to gather data on the adjacent systems and to draw up plans, and was also a fully-armed staging area for the Imperial Military for resources and large-scale operations.
Built within a large cluster of stellar crystals, the II-0810 Satellite Station was a large installation. The interior was painted mostly white with some gray, and the station's corridors were vertically rectangular. The station had a complex security system.
Access to the station was via hanger bays and cargo landing pads, including a large one that held TIE/ln space superiority starfighters and TIE/sa bombers. At one point Bode's Z-95 Headhunter was docked in the hanger. Several control stations were located in the hangar. When Kestis arrived, due to the heightened security, hangar access was restricted. All traffic were rerouted to tertiary landing pads for an enhanced inspection until further notice. The hanger security protocols including Air Traffic Control systems whose external monitoring could be corrupted with the ATC external monitoring coming offline. This could have happened in case of a drill or someone slicing into the station's system.
Control stations were located throughout the station which monitored security protocols dictating multiple, closed-network backup servers in case of unexpected power loss or enemy incursion, along with terminals that could be granted via authorization. Within the station there were hexagonal maintenance shafts that were gray plated and patrolled by Viper probe droids. For further security measures, electron walls were located throughout the station. Used in high security Imperial bases, the electron walls only allowed non-organics to pass through unharmed. Anything else was painfully admonished. In case of an emergency, electron wall lockdowns were to be activated, and multiple walls were activated to kill intruders.
The central command center hosted a large chamber complete with a multi-bridge walkway system that could be rotated in certain situations. At the center of the walkways was a platform with a large holoprojector that Lank Denvik used to address all personnel in the station from his command center from his spacious office overlooking the central command center. It also hosted another large chamber with a platform surrounded by multiple walkways. Below the platform was an area guarded by electron walls. Both the center and Denvik's office were connected by a large corridor.
Access to the officers' living quarters was granted by passing through a security scanner, designed to detect weaponry, bombs, hazardous materials, or other threats. The scanner prevented unauthorized personnel from entering the area. Before entering the officers' quarters, visiting personnel were to state their business, which should have been called in by central command. If not, then a security droid was called. One of the quarters was used by Bode Akuna, an ex-Jedi and ISB asset who was being hidden from the rest of the Empire at the base with his Kata. His quarters contained an audio message from Bode to Kata, a collection of data from Bode's undercover mission, and a family portrait of Bode, Kata, and Tayala Akuna.
The station was operated by many ISB officers.
In 9 BBY, the station was infiltrated by the Stinger Mantis crew, led by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis. During the search for Bode Akuna, forces of the Inquisitorious were also present on the station, investigating rumors that Chief Supervisor Lank Denvik was harboring a Jedi. Akuna and his daughter escaped as control of the station was seized by the Inquisitorius. While chasing Akuna, Kestis temporarily gave in to the dark side of the Force and left a trail of destruction through the base, killing several the Security Bureau and Inquisitorius personnel who stood in his way. The officers were gripped by fear and alarm at their enemy's ferocity. Denvik was later executed by Darth Vader.
Bounty hunters Fenn and Masi Finau, in service of the Haxion Brood crime syndicate, later infiltrated the station along with their droid KLE-0 and were killed by Kestis, who was searching for bounty hunters who were interested in acquiring the bounty offered by him by the Haxion Brood.
