Okikuti was a city on Kashyyyk located on the banks of a large lake. The town was located in a forest clearing and contained farms, housing structures, an animal nursery, and mining facilities.
Okikuti was a city on the Wookiees homeworld of Kashyyyk. The city was bordered on the east by a lake and surrounded by a forest. Okikuti featured a Command center, prefab shelters, a Carbon processing center, farms, and military buildings such as a troop center. The city also featured a War Center and a nursery for animals, and was protected on one side by walls and two laser turrets.
In 19 BBY, shortly after the Declaration of a New Order, Okikuti was attacked during a battle on Kashyyyk.
Years later, after rebuilding the Government Tree in Kepitenochan, Han Solo and Chewbacca realized that jammers used by the Galactic Empire prevented them from communicating with the New Republic. According to the Wookiee Weebacca's scouts, they were found in Okikuti, so Solo and Chewbacca left Kepitenochan and went there to destroy them. When the Wookiee strike force arrived, however, they discovered an empty city instead of jammers, and they were ambushed by Moff Darcc's forces emanating from a nearby , and with the city hemmed in by the forest, their sole exit was blocked. Solo's prior mistrust of Weebacca was justified, as he had betrayed them.
Unable to withstand Darcc's attack, Solo hit upon the idea of clearing a path through the forest to escape by water. They ordered the Wookiee workers they had brought along to cut through, and they soon reached the lake and quickly built a shipyard and a serviceable transport. Solo and Chewbacca managed to escape with their army and reach the jammers at Chenachochan before more Imperial reinforcements arrived.
Okikuti was first mentioned in the strategy guide for the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. It appeared during a Chewbacca campaign mission. The mission and thus the city was also included in the game's 2002 expansion pack, Clone Campaigns. Once arriving at Okikuti, the player must prevent the death of Solo and Chewbacca while using workers to clear a path to the lake and build a shipyard. If the player waits too long, All Terrain Armored Transports attack.
