Preeti was a human female Jedi Padawan who lived during the High Republic Era. She was stationed on the Starlight Beacon space station, where she worked in the quartermaster's office under Jedi Master Nubarron. Sometime after the attack on Valo, Preeti issued the Fraunesaa hauler starship to Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus and his Padawan, Reath Silas, as transport for their trip to the planet Coruscant.
Preeti was a human female Jedi Padawan who served the Jedi Order on the Starlight Beacon space station in the Galactic Frontier, working in the quartermaster's office under Jedi Master Nubarron, the station's quartermaster, in 231 BBY during the High Republic Era. Sometime after the attack on Valo in the same year, Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh and her Padawan, Imri Cantaros, visited the quartermaster's office on Starlight Beacon to acquire a ship for their trip to the planet Coruscant. When Rwoh and Cantaros arrived at the office, Preeti was in the middle of tapping away at a terminal screen, nervous with wide-eyed fear.
Cantaros and Preeti subsequently exchanged brief yet kind greetings before the former introduced Preeti to his Master, who did not recognize Preeti and presumed that the Padawan may have been new to the station. Preeti had previously heard about how Rwoh had passed her Jedi Trials at the age of fifteen, remarking upon this with her eyes going wide. Rwoh dismissed the comment unintentionally and specified her reason for coming, asking if there was a ship she and her Padawan could use for the Coruscant trip. Preeti apologized and informed Rwoh that the Jedi Knight was not to be issued a ship, explaining that Nubarron ordered a ban preventing Rwoh from having one.
Nubarron, hovering near the ceiling of the quartermaster's office and previously unnoticed by Rwoh, subsequently affirmed their refusal for Rwoh to acquire a ship to prevent her from destroying another. In an attempt to offer his Master help in reasoning with Nubarron, Cantaros mentioned how the Nihil had shot down one of the Jedi Vectors given to Rwoh and was not directly destroyed by Rwoh herself. The comment made Preeti wince, echoing how Cantaros' Master felt.
Shortly after, Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus and his Padawan, Reath Silas, entered the quartermaster's office and offered Rwoh and Cantaros a ride to Coruscant, as Vitus and Silas were already planning on traveling to Coruscant themselves. With Rwoh and Cantaros' dilemma solved and Nubarron appeased, Preeti issued Vitus the Fraunesaa, an old hauler confiscated from a Hutt enslaver who had been intercepted when he was forced to stop on Starlight Beacon.
Preeti was recognized as small for her age, with burnished brown skin, brown eyes, and straight black hair in a short, angular cut with her Padawan braid hanging only to her shoulders. Preeti admired the Padawan Imri Cantaros, which was apparent to Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh, from how she smiled with rosy cheeks and with all her teeth showing after briefly greeted by Cantaros in the quartermaster's office. Preeti was also noted to be rather nervous-looking by Rwoh.
Preeti operated a terminal inside the quartermaster's office on Starlight Beacon. She used the screen of the terminal to issue starships to those who needed transports.
Preeti first appeared in the 2021 young-adult novel The High Republic: Out of the Shadows, written by Justina Ireland and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.
