Alphabet Squadron surrounded the freighter, and Alphabet Leader Yrica Quell demanded its surrender, with the starship's captain complying before being murdered by his own crew. The Imperial vessel, under a new commander, then opened fire on the squadron. Alphabet Squadron responded, and the pilots Chass na Chadic and Nath Tensent disabled the vessel thereafter, but the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor pilot Wyl Lark accidentally shot its oxygen generator, forcing Alphabet Squadron to evacuate the surviving crew and tow them away in escape pods.
