A rescue was performed by a Rebel strike force to free several Rebellion members from a prison bunker on the moon of Yavin 4. They succeeded freeing the captives.
The Rescue at Yavin 4 appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. This quest was added to the game with the release of the "Game Update 11," published on June 23, 2009, and was present in the game during the Empire Day events of 2009, 2010 and 2011.
