The Rystan Badlands was an ice asteroid field situated near the tidally-locked planet Rystan. The ice field was treacherous, containing the wreckage of a number of starships that had attempted to traverse it. The Nihil starship Squall Spider, carrying Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro, was piloted to the planet through the Rystan Badlands by the Force-sensitive Talortai navigator Udi Dis.
