Shu Yen

Shu Yen was a Jedi Master of the Jedi Order and the mentor of the Twi'lek Padawan Diala Passil. He wielded a lightsaber and taught Passil how to be agile. Long before 0 ABY, Shu Yen was killed by the Sith Lord Darth Vader on the moon Yavin 4. His death left Passil with nightmares that grew more intense as time went on. At the location of Shu Yen's death, a dark and corrupt energy remained. The evil force called out to Passil, stretching across the galaxy and haunting her every waking moment. When Passil returned to the place where her master died, she encountered an apparition of her master begging for her to come back before taking on the shape of Darth Vader.

Shu Yen was first mentioned indirectly in the news post The Veteran and the Exile on Fantasy Flight Games' official website on October 27, 2014. He would later be mentioned in the Star Wars: Imperial Assault Core Set released on December 15, 2014. In the set, he is mentioned by name on the cards "Temptation" and "Shu Yen's Lightsaber," as well as in the Campaign Guide.
