Smuggler ship

This smuggler ship operated under the interests of the Galactic Empire during the Dark Trooper Project of the Galactic Civil War. Eventually it was raided by agent Kyle Katarn in order to reach the Super Star Destroyer Executor.

The ship had a rectangular shape. Inside, it had white corridors with panels, not unlike the interior of a CR90 corvette. The square-shaped bridge was accessed by the means of a keycard. The ship proper was flanked by two rectangular cargo bays.

Two corridors overlooked the cargo bays below. A stairway on the rear-port side of the ship led to them. The bays were divided in three sections each, and had sliding platforms.

History

The Dark Trooper Project was developed in the facility Arc Hammer, which was making leaps to hyperspace to keep its status secret. Only the Executor knew its location at each given time. Jabba Desilijic Tiure offered the smugglers whom the Empire employed to make the necessary trips to deliver the materials that the Dark Trooper Project needed across the galaxy.

In 1 ABY the Rebel Alliance had employed agents Jan Ors and Kyle Katarn to sabotage the Project, and the only way to reach the top secret factory was via the Executor.

Knowing that the Super Star Destroyer was supplied from Fuel Station Ergo, Ors tasked Kyle Katarn to disguise as a smuggler and hijack a smuggler ship resupplying in the station. That time the smuggler ship was docked at the northwestern hangar and its bays were full of cargo containers, some with class 5 explosives, some with shields, some with bio-tests. Gamorreans and Trandoshans roamed its corridors.

Meanwhile Katarn redirected the movable fueling arm towards the docking bay of the target smuggler ship, which he boarded. Inside the ship however were several who tried to stop him. Katarn stole a yellow keycard from an Imperial officer he killed, which allowed him access to the bridge. He activated the engines, but not before exchanging one last parting message with Ors over comlink. With the hijacked ship, he was able to reach the Executor.

Eventually the ship made its way to the hanger of the Executor. However Imperial forces boarded the ship in order to stop Katarn from exiting the bridge. Katarn made his way down to the now-empty cargo bays, and exited the ship to the main area of the Super Star Destroyer and continued his mission.

The ship only appears in the 1995 video game Star Wars: Dark Forces; it is the objective of the mission 11 ("Smuggler's Hijack") being the destination the player must reach in order to complete the mission. It appears again in the beginning of the mission 12 ("The Stowaway") from where the player needs to leave in order to reach the Executor.
