Unidentified stalk-eyed species

The stalk-eyed species was a sentient species that populated locations across the galaxy.

Biology and appearance

Two members in a cantina

This extraterrestrial race possessed a reptilian form and typically stood around 0.6 meters tall. Their most notable feature was their eyes, which were mounted on stalks, giving them the ability to look in different directions simultaneously. They also had a pronounced underbite, characterized by several small, sharp teeth protruding from their lower jaw.

While most members of this species had four arms, some appeared to have only two. Each arm terminated in a three-fingered hand with an opposable thumb, and their feet also had three toes.

Presence in the galaxy

Two members on Tresidiss

Within the galactic landscape, two individuals of this species collaborated with Gornt Seron, a criminal mastermind of the Hethas organization, who operated from the planet Korbin. These two had direct interactions with Seron, indicating a reasonably familiar relationship. Additionally, some members of the species resided on Tresidiss, a planet renowned for its gambling dens managed by Herglic criminal syndicates, in which they seemed to be involved.

Furthermore, other members of this species were found on Derilyn, located within the Elrood sector.

Behind the scenes

Although unnamed officially, this species has been depicted as background characters in at least five illustrations by Mike Vilardi for the West End Games roleplaying game sourcebooks. Their physical characteristics bear resemblance to the Glurrgs from Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. In 2011, prompted by a fan, Vilardi provided a name for this species, referring to them as "seidaots" (pronounced "say-day-ahts"), also known as "seidaotians."
