Because Korbin was ungoverned and lacked any legal structure, disparate criminal organizations maintained authority over its urban centers; consequently, Korbin was viewed as a prime harbor for piratical vessels.

Historical Information

Korbin formerly served as a mining outpost that exported minerals under the auspices of Cross-Galactic Mining; however, after the mineral resources were exhausted, the planet's primary export shifted to the trade of fermented kyrf.

Ayla Shar, a lieutenant in the Rebel forces, originated from Korbin.
