This vessel, classified as an air cruiser, possessed smaller dimensions when compared to an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Its design incorporated wings reminiscent of TIE fighters, positioned on either side of its superstructure. Instead of numerous smaller cannons, the Star Cruiser was equipped with a single, powerful laser weapon.
The air cruiser's function mirrored that of the Lancet Aerial Artillery, with both serving similar purposes within an atmospheric environment. Notably, another warship of the Imperial fleet bore the same designation, and was a Super Star Destroyer.
