This is IG-88. Why is this article a stub? What happened? 72.199.200.174 11:13, June 2, 2014 (UTC)
- This is the canon version of IG-88. The legends version is here.
Shouldn't this be IG-88B (canon) rather than IG-88 (canon)? I don't believe either is ever given as his name in a canon source. We're talking about the bounty hunter, not all of the IG-88s. CloneMarshalCommanderCody (talk) 02:54, July 20, 2014 (UTC)
- The Canon IG-88 is identified by name in both the SW.com Encyclopedia and Databank. Please see this article's "Sources" section. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:05, July 20, 2014 (UTC)
When was IG-88 confirmed to be an IG-86 model droid?
We should get a backup of that and not just link to the website
- Got it done
The article currently states that IG-88 was destroyed in 3 ABY. However, the recent comic Flight of the Falcon, Part 1: Spy Games shows him alive after that time. Since the comic doesn't mention anything about him being destroyed, does this mean it has been retconned, or can we just assume he was rebuilt? Zed42 (talk) 04:37, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- We shouldn't assume he was rebuilt, since it could potentially be another IG-88 (A, B, C,...). We should probably just say something along the lines of "IG-88 managed to survive the encounter, blah blah blah," and keep it vague. - Cwedin 04:43, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
It looks like IG-88's backstory (basically his Legends backstory) as told in the updated Character Encyclopedia and Complete Visual Dictionary has become deprecated. Scum and Villainy paints him as a Separatist battle droid who was liberated by the Droid Gotra, and overall seems completely incompatible with his origins as told in the previously mentioned sources. How should we handle this? I'd personally trust Scum and Villainy over the updated CVD considering that Pablo Hidalgo didn't know the thing even existed, despite being credited as the primary author. - AV-6R7 21:10, February 5, 2019 (UTC)
- Looks like Age of Rebellion Special 1 is going to explore IG-88's origins as well in April --Lewisr (talk) 21:27, February 5, 2019 (UTC)
I say the name of the page should be changed to IG-88B due to him being identified in the Force Collection (Canon Card game) as IG-88B his Legends name.SW-CanonDetailer01 17:53, April 29, 2019 (UTC)
- I agree, Although I don't have Star Wars: Force Collection, I have seen his card identify him as IG-88B. --Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 18:00, April 29, 2019
I edited it on Star Wars: Force Collection has page that IG-88 was identified as IG-88B because I went to the card list on the Force Collection wiki. Go to IG-88 article and go to sources and go to the first card link it will take you to the site.SW-CanonDetailer01 19:54, April 29, 2019 (UTC)
