It seems some individuals struggle to differentiate between Legends and canon materials... All content within the Legends section is Legends, not canon. The 2008 Clone Wars animated series is considered canon and should not be categorized under Legends. I recall encountering a few other similar pages, but I can't bring them to mind right now. Essentially, any page exhibiting this issue needs to be corrected.

- The 2008 Clone Wars has elements in both the Legends and Canon continuities. Brules Chat 19:13, September 28, 2016 (UTC)
- What leads you to that conclusion? -- TheBlackDemon1996 ( talk ) 19:15, September 28, 2016 (UTC) It was launched well before the 2014 canon reset. Brules Chat 20:50, September 28, 2016 (UTC) To fully understand your stance, could you elaborate on how that makes it "both legends and canon"? --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 21:06, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Let me provide some clarification—with all due respect to Brules, Wookieepedia's explanations haven't always been the clearest. What this means is this: The Clone Wars is a Canon topic. Here on Wookieepedia, we incorporate details from TCW on both Canon and Legends pages. This is because much of the TCW Legends content relies on information from the show. Furthermore, many TCW topics also have some form of Legends information or sources connected to them. As a result, we maintain both Canon and Legends pages for TCW topics. In Pong Krell's instance, the Legends page is more comprehensive simply because a complete Canon version hasn't been written yet. I trust this clarifies the situation. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:10, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Not entirely... it appears that the Legends page contains all the Canon information, while the Canon page seems to be saying, "...Is anyone still there?" --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 21:15, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Precisely. As I mentioned, we include pertinent TCW information on Legends pages, and TCW topics have Legends pages for the reasons previously stated. The Sources section of his Legends page includes numerous references from before 2014, prior to the reboot. As for the Canon page, it's awaiting someone to create it. That person could be you, if you're interested! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:52, September 28, 2016 (UTC) I'm not inclined to write it if I believe the information is already present on the incorrect page. If I were to do so, I would simply copy and paste the content, but we both recognize that wouldn't be a sustainable solution. --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 21:56, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Duplicating content through copying and pasting would negatively impact Search Engine Optimization, as Google and other search engines penalize such practices. This is why we've been rewriting Canon pages since the reboot, instead of simply copying and pasting everything. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:01, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Understood? So why not streamline the process by ensuring the Canon page contains all relevant information, while the Legends page does not? This way, if any content on the Canon page is deemed non-canon, it can simply be moved to the Legends page. --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 22:05, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Linking also plays a role. For instance, Captain Rex has Legends stories associated with him, hence the CT-7567/Legends page. To present these Legends stories coherently, we include information from the show on that page as well. This necessitates linking to Pong Krell. Maintaining a Legends page for Pong Krell, for example, allows us to document Legends-specific sources about Pong Krell and prevents us from linking to Canon pages from Legends pages. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:15, September 28, 2016 (UTC) That's easily addressed. Simply paste the content into Microsoft Word or your preferred writing tool and replace the Legends link with the Canon link... --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 22:19, September 28, 2016 (UTC) The issue isn't the difficulty of modifying the links. My point is that the community has decided against linking to Canon pages from Legends pages. A new vote would be required to overturn that decision. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:25, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Then don't link to them... Just place the information where it belongs... Why is this concept so difficult to grasp? Simply relocate the information, correct the links to ensure they point to the appropriate canon, and the wiki will be more accurate. --TheBlackDemon1996 (talk) 22:28, September 28, 2016 (UTC)
I've explained the community's decision and how it has been implemented for the past two and a half years. I'm afraid I can't make it any clearer than that. If you disagree, you'll need to initiate a vote to change that position and persuade enough users to support your view. That's how Wookieepedia functions. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:33, September 28, 2016 (UTC)
- Understood. Thank you for providing the clearest explanation possible. -- TheBlackDemon1996 ( talk ) 22:36, September 28, 2016 (UTC) No problem. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:59, September 28, 2016 (UTC) Apologies for my inadequate explanation. I was occupied with class and using my phone at the time. Brules Chat 23:02, September 28, 2016 (UTC)
Could an administrator safeguard this article due to the persistent vandalism and edit conflicts between an anonymous user and several registered users? --OOM-89 (talk) 23:47, July 2, 2018 (UTC)
