Tapani calendar

The Tapani calendar was a calendar used in the Tapani sector for domestic affairs. It was established by Shey Tapani in local year 5,412 (or 7308 BBY). Though the Tapani sector used the Imperial calendar when dealing with the outside galaxy, the local calendar remained in common use internally, and was seen as a symbol of the sector's autonomy. It was slightly adjusted to better conform to Galactic Standard Time, but retained the traditional names of months, days, and holidays used in the sector.

The calendar's Year 0 was 12,720 BBY, date of the first colonists arriving in the region.
