Terro

When a Rebel ship transporting civilians crashed on Tatooine in Jabba's territory, Terro and his forces arrived to bring the survivors to safety, but were met with opposition by a rebel squad who mistook his actions as an attack. Terro fled with the survivors he was able to rescue and brought them to an outpost where he sheltered them, fed them, and gave them medical attention. The rebel squad, now forced to work for Jabba, ambushed one of Terro's patrols and took their code cylinders. As the rebels fled aboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, Terro intercepted them via a shuttle and confronted them aboard the deck of the barge. Again, he was defeated and forced to flee, which allowed the rebels to escape.

The rebels then attacked an Imperial listening post and sent a distress call to Terro to lead him into a trap. Terro arrived at the location of the distress call and was ambushed by the rebels, who defeated him. Terro made a deal with the rebels to let him live, and in return he would bring them to the outpost where the other survivors were being kept. Terro had recently learned that his mother was still alive and enslaved by Jabba, so he and the rebel squad united forces with the common goal of attacking Jabba's Palace to free their friends and family. Together, the group storms the palace at night and successfully free the prisoners and defeat Jabba. Terro and the rebels then go their separate ways, with Terro falsifying his official report stating that survivors perished at the hands of Jabba, thus keeping them safe from the Empire.

Biography

Terro, a human male, lived on the planet Tatooine with his mother and father. His parents were moisture farmers, and they lived at Terro Farm. During the Great Drought, his mother, Senza Terro, refused to pay the water tax imposed by Jabba the Hutt. Because of her actions, the young Terro was taken away from his parents Jabba. Fueled by Jabba separating him from his family, Terro joined the Empire as a way to fight back against criminals like Jabba. Terro served as Stormtrooper Captain stationed on Tatooine so he could help prevent Jabba from breaking apart more families. Without authorization for a proper offensive, the best Terro could do was shelter the many victims of Jabba the Hutt.

During the Galactic Civil War at some point before 0 BBY, a Rebel transport carrying civilians to a hidden rebel world crash-landed in Jabba the Hutt's territory on the planet Tatooine. Terro and his forces arrived at the crash survivors' camp and started taking the survivors onto a dropship with the intent of bringing them to safety. Among the survivors was a squad of rebels who assumed it was an attack. The squad fended off Terro and his forces, eventually being joined by some of Jabba's men, which caused the captain to retreat with some of the survivors. Terro brought the survivors to an Imperial outpost where he sheltered them, and sent one of the survivors to a nearby listening post to receive medical treatment.

Sometime later, unbeknownst to Terro, one of his patrols got captured by Jabba's guards. An "informant" secretly working for Jabba informed Terro that the missing patrol was near the Great Pit of Carkoon. Terro sent his troops to investigate the location, but they were attacked by the rebel squad now forced to work for Jabba. The rebels defeated the imperial forces and obtained code cylinders. The rebels fled aboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, but were chased down by more Imperial forces on speeder bikes. Aboard an Imperial shuttle, Captain Terro arrived and used the shuttle's ramp to board the barge while he rode a dewback. Fighting atop the deck, the rebel squad managed to kill the dewback and force Terro to retreat. Terro limped aboard his ship and flew off.

Terro eventually receives a distress call from the listening post which was sent by the rebel squad so they could ambush him. The rebel squad, accompanied by one of Jabba's bounty hunters, had previously taken the listening post and now ambushed Terro in a narrow pass. They fought Terro once and for all, successfully beating him. The rebels had previously learned from one of the crash survivors who was being medically treated at the post that the other survivors were alive and being held at an outpost. Knowing this information, they questioned Terro as to the where the other crash survivors are being held. Terro stated that he would take them to the outpost if they let him live. The rebels took the deal, much to the distaste of the bounty hunter who turned on the rebels. Terro aided the rebels in their fight against the bounty hunter and his backup, and honoring his word, he gave the rebels coordinates to the outpost.

The rebels arrived at the outpost where they met up with Terro. Terro brought them to one of the camp tents where the crash survivors were being taken care of. Terro explained his reason for joining the Empire, to protect people from criminals like Jabba, the one who took his parents away. He also stated that he only recently learned that his mother was still alive and being kept as a slave by Jabba. Jabba still had some of the survivors imprisoned, so Terro united with the rebels to assault Jabba's palace and free their friends and family.

At the dead of night, Terro and the rebel squad made there way to the palace. They used explosives to blast a hole into the palace wall and entered with Captain Terro leading the charge on a dewback. They fought through Jabba's guards and towards the audience chamber. On their way there, the group met up with Senza Terro, Terro's mother. The two embrace, having not seen each other in years. After the quick reunion, Terro and his mother went to the palace's dungeon to free the prisoners while the rebels went to the audience chamber to confront Jabba. After the rebels defeated Jabba and his thugs, they met up with Terro, Senza, and the freed prisoners outside the palace. They all boarded a speeder and made their way back to civilization. The rebels and rescued survivors left the planet on a transport, and Terro falsified his official report saying that all the crash survivors perished at the hands of Jabba.

Personality and traits

Terro cared for the wellbeing of civilians, especially those who have been victims to Jabba's rule, brought about from being a victim of Jabba himself. He provided food, shelter, and medical attention to the people he rescued. He also cared for the safety of his soldiers, and would send out search parties for missing soldiers. His troops were infamously loyal to him because of this. He would also lie on official reports when necessary to keep people safe.

Equipment

Terro wore Stormtrooper armor that was modified for desert environments. Terro traveled through the harsh deserts of Tatooine on dewbacks. He utilized a flamethrower when in combat. Terro's forces included sandtroopers, jet troopers, Imperial officers, viper probe droids, dewbacks, and an AT-DP.

Behind the scenes

Terro was created for the Jabba's Realm expansion set and the Captain Terro Villain Pack, supplementary material for the Star Wars Legends strategy board game Star Wars: Imperial Assault, which was released in 2016. Terro was introduced into canon via the "Jabba's Realm" campaign added to Legends of the Alliance, a companion app for Star Wars: Imperial Assault, in 2019.

This article assumes a specific path is taken in the campaign, which can very depending on the choices of the players. After the rebels acquire the code cylinders, they have the option to not give them up to Jabba and instead keep it for the Rebel Alliance. This decision results in the rebels fleeing from the Great Pit of Carkoon and making their way to what they learn to be Terro Farm. At the farm, a three-way fight between the rebels, Terro's forces, and Jabba's guards unfolds, with the rebels eventually escaping and meeting up with a group of rebel agents. Another difference would be if each player is defeated before they get the code cylinders, which results in a retreat and the mission ending without the pursuit on the sail barge taking place.

If they chose to keep the code cylinders for the Rebellion, then the story continues with the rebels attacking the listening post and Terro, with a difference being that they are not accompanied by a bounty hunter, instead they are accompanied by more rebels. When they confront Terro, both sides are ambushed by Jabba's forces, to which Terro suggests a team up. If the players choose to team up with Terro, then the rest of the story progresses the same way where Terro brings the rebels to the outpost to meet up with the other survivors. If the players don't team up with Terro, then two different outcomes could occur. If they defeat all of Jabba's forces and Terro remains alive, then Terro retreats and the rebels never see him again and never meet up with the other survivors at Terro's outpost. If they defeat Terro, then Terro will die. Also, if the players had instead chose to keep the code cylinders for Jabba, and instead don't take Terro's deal, then this outcome will also result in the rebels killing Terro. If Terro is killed then his story ends there, and the rebel group never meets up with the other survivors at Terro's outpost. If the players are defeated, then they are apprehended by Terro and used to trade for the freedom of Terro's mother and the other survivors. Before the trade, Terro informs the rebels that he has people inside Jabba's palace who will provide the rebels a means to escape.

If the players choose to team up with Terro and attack the palace, but Terro is defeated before they make it to Senza, then he never gets to meet his mother after the many years apart. If the players get defeated after they met up with Senza, then the rebels get enslaved by Jabba while the others make it to safety. If the players choose to team up with Terro and make a deal with Jabba to trade their lives for the freedom of the imprisoned survivors, then Terro accompanies them for the deal to bring the survivors to safety. This also happens if they rebels were apprehended by Terro and forced to be traded to Jabba.
