A year later, in 5 BBY, a rebel pilot who had ran supplies for Kreegyr and his group utilized the masking device while traveling to the Ring of Kafrene in the Expansion Region. The pilot, using the masking device, flashed an Imperial-listed profile for a brief moment, but was ultimately captured by the Empire, who discovered the masking device and its origin point from the Lozash naval yard.
