Tok was a human governor who served the Galactic Republic as an undercover agent for Count Dooku during its reign. At the Regional Republic Headquarters on Jaloria, Tok presented a ceremony in support of a treaty to end the war between the Anselmi and Nautolan species of the planet Glee Anselm, alongside Anselmi and Nautolan representatives. In truth, however, Tok hoped to see the peace derailed and war resume to put more pressure on the Republic, as per Dooku's plans. As part of the ceremony, the governor unveiled the Hope of Glee Anselm, a historical artifact of both species. A group of thieves interrupted the event, stealing the artifact. Tok later hired the bounty hunter Jango Fett through the droid Y3-99 to track down the thieves and recover the Hope of Glee Anselm.
