The heist of the Hope of Glee Anselm, also known as the theft of the Hope of Glee Anselm, was a robbery that took place on Jaloria during the time of the Galactic Republic. The Hope of Glee Anselm, an artifact of the Anselmi and Nautolan species of the planet Glee Anselm, was being presented by the Republic at a ceremony to support a treaty to end the war between the two. A group of thieves interrupted the ceremony and stole the artifact, with one thief escaping alive as Republic troops killed the others. Following the heist, the bounty hunter Jango Fett was hired to track down the thieves and recover the artifact.
In secret, the entire plot had been orchestrated by Count Dooku, who wanted to see the war on Glee Anselm continue in order to destabilize the Republic.
