In 19 BBY, the syndic served on a tribunal that investigated the actions of Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," during the attack on the Paataatus species. During the tribunal, Thrawn's commanding officer, Admiral Ar'alani, stated that officers of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet had levels of priorities in combat, causing the Droc syndic to ask her if the fleet operated as a "free-form melee."
