The crime lord Smada the Hutt, a Hutt operating on the planet D'vouran in 0 BBY, had several Ganks in his service. When the Human children Tash and Zak Arranda were confronted outdoors, two of these Ganks vanished into the planet unexpectedly while trying to hurt the children. The remaining Ganks tried to pile onto Smada's hoversled, but the Hutt used his tail to knock one of them off. Subsequently, that Gank was also consumed by the planet.
