In 38 BBY, a battle took place in the Unknown Regions Pleknok system between the Chiss Ascendancy government's Boadil family and the Paataatus Hiveborn government initially, and later the Ascendancy's Chiss Defense Force. A Boadil survey ship was in the system studying it for development when a pair of Paataatus warships attacked it, damaging the vessel. The Ascendancy sent the Chiss Defense Force to strike the Paataatus while they did their own survey for their future conquest of Pleknok. The Defense Force's strike was strong enough that the Paataatus did not come back to Pleknok for nineteen years, when Stybla family Senior Aide Lappincyk's Jandalin patrol ship arrived at Pleknok to retrieve an stolen item and the Paataatus attacked his ship.
