Unidentified tattooed Sith

A tattooed Human was a Sith active by 1000 BBY. He traveled to the planet Ceriun when a Jedi starfighter carrying a Jedi holocron had crash-landed there. Pinpointing the holocron's location to a hut where a group of young local farmers were fighting several of their tribe's adults over the possession of the retrieved artifact, the Sith then arrived there.

The Sith took the holocron but was stopped from leaving by Tenno, who had led the young farmers' attempts in order for them to potentially be rewarded with becoming Sith apprentices. Enraged, the Sith murdered Tenno's friends, proclaiming the locals' efforts to be meaningless. However, he did thank Tenno and, before departing the site of the slaughter, threatened the present adults into leaving the young man alone.

The Sith spared Tenno's life after killing his friends.

A Human individual was part of the Sith tradition of dark side–focused Force-users at some point by 1000 BBY. Two days after a Jedi starfighter carrying a Jedi holocron crash-landed on the Outer Rim Territories planet Ceriun, the Sith arrived there in search of the artifact. He then pinpointed the holocron's location to a hut in the planet's Drop Canyon, wherein a group of young farmers of a local tribe was at the time violently fighting several of the tribe's adults for the possession of the artifact. Arriving at the hut on his speeder bike, the darksider slammed open the structure's door and, ignoring the scene of carnage there, retrieved the holocron and returned to his conveyance.

As the Sith was putting the artifact into a bag on the bike, he was interrupted by Tenno, a young man who had orchestrated the plan to take the holocron from the tribe's adults and turn it over to the Sith in exchange for him and his friends potentially being made Sith apprentices as a reward for the deed. The Sith listened to Tenno explaining his reasoning before rhetorically asking whether he should give the young farmers their "reward." At that point, the enraged Sith ignited his lightsaber and started killing Tenno's friends, including Flass and Geenor.

Panicking, Tenno ran away from the slaughter, only to collide with the darksider again. The Sith then derogatorily explained that he found Tenno's attempts to help him irrelevant and unimpressive, further claiming that the farmer had no conception whatsoever of the true nature of one being a Sith. Nevertheless, while the darksider subsequently was climbing on his speeder bike, he thanked Tenno and, before driving away from the site, ordered the adult farmers to leave the young man alone, threatening that he would know if they disobeyed the order.

Personality and traits

The Sith was a Human with tan skin and eyes with light-colored irises and red sclerae. He had golden-colored patterned tattoos that covered his face, neck, and upper arms. The Sith displayed an apparent focused and collected manner while pursuing the search for the Jedi holocron; however, he launched an enraged and murderous attack when Tenno relayed to him his ambitions and motivation behind his attempt to secure the artifact for the Sith. The darksider then espoused the philosophy that the Sith simply took whatever they wanted, and that Tenno's efforts were therefore meaningless. Ultimately, however, the Sith did thank the young farmer for his assistance.

Powers and abilities

The Sith was skilled in the lethal use of a lightsaber.

Equipment

The Sith wore a black sleeveless shirt, black pants and boots, and a double belt with several pouches. He also carried his lightsaber attached to the belt. The Sith utilized a speeder bike that resembled the Razalon FC-20 speeder bike, used by the Sith roughly a millennium later.

The tattooed Sith was introduced in a comic story in Star Wars Tales 17.

The tattooed Sith first appeared in "All for You," a comic story written by Adam Gallardo, pencilled by Greg Titus, and published in the seventeenth issue of the Star Wars Tales comic-book series on October 1, 2003. 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia contains a pair of apparent errors related to the Sith's portrayal in the comic. Firstly, the book implies that Ka'arn was among the group of friends whom the Sith killed, whereas in fact the former was Tenno's father who was killed earlier by his son.

Secondly, according to the book, the Sith killed the individuals who had "recovered" the Jedi holocron—which the book implies refers to those who retrieved the artifact from the crash-landed Jedi starship. "All for You" in fact establishes that the holocron was retrieved by a group of adults and only depicts the Sith killing several of the young farmers who had later attempted to take possession of the artifact from them.
