Are you going to be continuing editing Thrawn's page with what he did in the novel?

Thanks for the message whoever you are! To answer your question, yes I'm planning on it. I finished the novel and I'm going to be continuing my detailed summary of the events of the novel as I have time. I'll probably try to add info on his service on the Blood Crow tomorrow after work. Thanks for your interest! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 04:15, June 3, 2017 (UTC)

No rush, but I thought you were going to edit Thrawn today?

I was busy with work then my laptop was having issues so I had to run some scans. After that I had to do another work related thing I forgot. I'll edit a little now because you asked so nicely, and I'll probably do some more tomorrow if I'm not too busy with family obligations --UmbraWitchAlraune () 04:58, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! By the way, I know Thrawn was a Lieutenant, Captain, Commodore, Admiral, and now Grand Admiral, but were there any other ranks Thrawn had in his book?

I added a start to the Blood Crow section and I'll do the Dromedar incident tomorrow. Other than those ones? I think he was a Commander as well. Possibly between Captain and Commodore? Besides that I don't think he was any other ranks. We'll see though. I have the book open next to me as I add to the page, so if I notice a rank I forgot it'll show up on the page eventually! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 05:55, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

GREAT JOB! And thanks for answering the rank question I had.

Thanks both of you! I know that Thrawn is really important to people who loved Legends (I never got into legends because of my age but I'm quite a fan of Thrawn now after reading his new novel) so I'm trying to do my best! I kinda want to do the same for Phasma when her novel comes out but considering it comes out right when my next term starts at school it may not pan out. But I'm definitely going to keep working on Thrawn. Thanks both of you! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 19:50, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

I know this goes without saying, but will you fix the Rise to Power section on Thrawn's page?

Yeah of course! I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with it at this point (I may very well delete it entirely if I have permission to do so) but once I finish the description of the events of Thrawn, I'll decide what to do with the rise to power section. It doesn't look great as it is right now but I think the WIP template allows some leeway, letting users know that we're working on it --UmbraWitchAlraune () 19:54, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

Will you be doing the Personality and Traits and Skills and Abilities as well?

I'll check it out but I probably won't do much. Maybe just expand upon his difficulties with formality (speaking politely to imperial officers)/politics and add a paragraph about his affinity for art. My main job in my mind is the biography because I view character history as the most important part of each character page. Those are just personal priorities though. --UmbraWitchAlraune () 05:56, June 9, 2017 (UTC)

You taking a little break?

Are you ok? You haven't updated Thrawn in weeks? Is something wrong?

Sorry I vanished! I was going through a lot of personal stuff and didn't really have the time/energy to work on the page but now I'm back and I'll be resuming updates Tuesday! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 02:46, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there, first of all you've done a great job with the Thrawn page Its a very good job, just a minor suggestion. I found some redlinks that they do have a canon page, for example you wrote barracks, but Barracks is the canon page, if you want to write it in lower case just add the |barracks after the page name. Other than that, keep doing the great job and if you want you can add the template Wip at the beginning of the page to let know other users that its a work in progress. Good Luck and MTFBWY --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:33, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Thank you very much! Don't feel dumb it's a perfectly reasonable mistake to make and I really appreciate the help! Thanks! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 19:51, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Hi UmbraWitchAlraune,

It's been about a month since you have edited the Thrawn article. I was wondering if you would be happy with me taking over the updates for that article? Please let me know on talk page. I will respect your decision whatever the outcome. Andykatib 03:45, July 8, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there,

Thanks for getting back in touch with me. Glad to hear that you are happy to continue working with the Thrawn article. Do let me know if you need any help. I understand that life can get busy. Right now, I'm working on a PhD literature review which is certainly challenging. I'll be working on expanding the Eli Vanto article in the meantime. I really liked his character since he is sympathetic and defies the usual stereotype of the incompetent, arrogant Imperial villain. So I think I'll let someone else handle the Thrawn article for the near future. Andykatib 03:18, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

I must say congrats for finishing with Thrawn's summary you did an amazing job with it. Thanks for the contribution--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:44, August 7, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the prompt congratulations! It was a ton of work and certainly an ambitious first project for me on this wiki but I'm proud to have completed it and hopefully people find my summary informative and helpful! --UmbraWitchAlraune () 05:49, August 7, 2017 (UTC)

  • Great work on updating the Thrawn article. Thank you also so much for following the Wookieepedia guidelines regarding references. The welcome message will have a list of guidelines for a smooth editing on Wookieepedia. I have read the Thrawn novel but haven't had the time to edit it. So it's good to see another user who is interested in updating a fan favorite's biography. May the Force be with you and wish you all the best. Andykatib 06:03, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

  • feel so dumb right now, just noticed that its a redlink because it goes to Barracks Two. So sorry, but I did found a legends link, but nothing to worry, sorry to bother --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:36, June 4, 2017 (UTC)
