Vadigult sector

By 0 ABY, the Vadigult sector bordered the Abaar sector westward and the Manoe sector northward, and at its eastern reaches it also formed a four-way border with the Luuq sector and the Expansion Region's Fellwe and Immalia sectors. The sector retained these borders by 12 ABY, when it constituted a part of the New Republic.

The Vadigult sector was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which listed the sector as the "Va di Gult sector." However, when the sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article The Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim, the alternate spelling "Vadigult sector" was introduced, which continued to be used by all subsequent sources.

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, noted on the Jedi Council Forums of TheForce.net that the Gultanna system was created for "bookkeeping purposes" so that the Vadigult sector would have at least one corresponding system.
