In Star Wars Legends, the Validusia system was first pictured, albeit unnamed, in the image for Naval Station Validusia by illustrator Ansel Hsiao, in the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and published by Del Rey in 2012. Later in that year, the online companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas named the Validusia system and assigned it to the Bes Ber Bikade sector of the Expansion Region, with grid coordinates L-15.
